Not for everyoneBy HairyI am an amateur photographer who has used a Nikon D3000 for five years and recently decided to upgrade to the D5500. The main reason I only gave the David Buschrsquo;s Compact Field Guide (Kindle version) three stars is because it does not contain an Index making finding specific information on a particular subject extremely difficult as the Table Of Contents only contains generic main chapter titles. Also. although Irsquo;ve had experience using the D3000 and much of the D5500 looked familiar (all-be-it a significant upgrade). I had difficulty following some of the discussions on how to use certain features. I do not think this compact version by itself will be very useful to either someone with only point-and-shoot experience or someone new to Nikon cameras.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful BookBy AllanThis is a wonderful book. Just what I was looking for to explain my camers operation. Easy to read and understand. It really is a "page turner". Not overly technical but enough to explain certain aspects of the camera s operation. Next to this book the User Manual for the Nikon D5500 is not even close to being helpful.
