In this complementary work; Lewin stimulates thought about the general methodology of musical analysis and issues of large-scale form as they relate to transformational analytic structuring. Musical Form and Transformation ; first published in 1993 by Yale University Press; was the recipient of an ASCAP Deems Taylor Award.

The illustrations are fine. but some of the theology is a big "new age" is and somewhat vague general. though as he says his theology is somewhat vague like impressionist art. that may have been the intention. But where is the dark side of things? He obviously has doubts about God. but where is the deeper probing and dark doubt? The artwork is as beautiful as the prose. Perfect for my personal spiritual growth at this point.
