The different versions of Hamlet constitute one of the most vexing puzzles in Shakespeare studies. Davis is able to do exactly what she set out to do. With each stroke of her pen she dismantles the walls between exegesis and homiletics to reveal a diverse palette for preachers for proclamation. Rather than seeming to harp on ldquo;the old days were betterrdquo; mantra; she uses the past to offer a brilliant method for using all the tools available to share the Gospel of Jesus. This work has gone beyond an intriguing concept to transforming my own preconceived ideas and opening up a whole new expanse of options for my future teaching.2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. well worth the readingBy J.
