A good readBy PerfI was expecting more of an actual review of different workshops; this reads more like a diary. Interesting but not as informative as someone who has never participated in workshops might have liked. It was nice to know who Rice Freeman-Zachery met. who she likes. but more information about each instructor and their work with photos would have been great. Also. a photo of the finished necklace project would help explain the project. like the centipede project. And photo captions . . .That said. I was glad to get the history of the different workshops and the information regarding the venues. Rice did a great job of conveying her excitement and joy at being able to do the research for the book. Sounded like a lot of fun.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. InspirationalBy Kindle CustomerAfter a shipping glitch. which was swiftly and graciously handled by s customer service. I finally received my copy of Destination Creativity. It was a delight. It was fascinating to get a peek into so many of the great art retreats that are held around the country. Its a lively look at the hard-working people who create and produce these conventions. the teachers. and the interesting folks that attend. The tips on making the most of ones retreat experience were insightful and often amusing. Ive been a long time follower of Rice. and to get a whole afternoons reading pleasure. following her year long adventure was priceless.
