Die Symbolik in den politischen Plakaten der DDR (German Edition)

[DOC] Die Symbolik in den politischen Plakaten der DDR (German Edition) by Sarah Glouml;ckler at Arts-Photography

Description

In 1925; the 22-year-old Kenneth Clark (1903ndash;1983) and the legendary art critic and historian Bernard Berenson (1865ndash;1959) met in Italy. From that moment; they began a correspondence that lasted until Berensonrsquo;s death at age 94. This book makes available; for the first time; the complete correspondence between two of the most influential figures in the 20th-century art world; and gives a new and unique insight into their lives and motivations. The letters are arranged into ten chronological sections; each accompanied by biographical details and providing the context for the events and personalities referred to. They were both talented letter writers: informative; spontaneous; humorous; gossipy; and in their frequent letters they exchanged news and views about art and politics; friends and family life; collectors; connoisseurship; discoveries; books read and written; and travel. Berenson advised Clark on his blossoming career; warning against the museum and commercial art worlds while encouraging his promise as a writer and interpreter of the arts. Above all; these letters trace the development of a deep and intimate friendship.

A Very Useful Little BookBy Chanie B"An Understandable Guide to Music Theory: The Most Useful Aspects of Theory for Rock; Jazz; and Blues Musicians" is one of the greatest investments Ive ever made as a musician! This book is jam packed with information into a little book (about 80-100 pages or so) but is not packed to the point of too much information to learn. The writer is very organized and knowledgable about the subjects in this book and explains them in a easy-to-understand way; even for beginners. He also teaches a lot of scales I was not familiar with and Ive been playing music and studying theory for over 10 years! He even touches a little bit on orchestration in the end. All-in-all; GET THIS BOOK!!!!!!!3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Good concise addition to your other Theory booksBy Marco ForconeThis is a short and concise book that covers considerable material. As such; I found this book to be a good ADDITION to my library (I also recommend Tom Kolbs book for music theory that is more guitar centric). Note that I highlighted the work addition; this book combined with my other books and my guitar lessons proved to be a useful reference. I have found that reading the same material written different ways helps me to better understand it.That said; I do not recommend this book if it is to be the ONLY music theory book you plan on purchasing. However; if you are looking to augment your library; or to clarify some concepts; it would be a good choice.
