Quick factual read about ants for my rising 3rd grader!By JenniedI downloaded "The Ant Family-Fun Facts you need to know" as a kindle e-book for my rising 3rd grader. This book contains 16 pages: 8 pages have writing on them; and the rest are phenomenal pictures close up of ants; in their habitat and working. The book was a simple read for him. This is a book that contains interesting facts and comparisons that were very thought provoking. For example: ldquo;If a kid were an ant; a kid would be able to lift a carrdquo; We both learned some new things and he was happy with this quick read over the summer. I think itrsquo;s important to keep kids reading over the summer to prevent the Summer slide; so this was a quick and easy way to foster some easy learning and reading on his kindle. But my husband has a Kindle and he created accounts for me and our son as well on it; so I decided to give it a go.The graphic is amazingly beautiful and looks like I can see even ants facial expressions. However I doubt if all the images are from real ants without any modification. This book seems to be meant for third grades; not adults so maybe its okay. Just for the propose of teaching kids about ants; not to pursue reality in the nature.Now I point out some cons.As this book consists of "facts" and teaches children so itd be better if it goes by number. This book is quite shorter than I thought and felt it suddenly ended. (as its hard to predict when it ends if its not a story or going by timeline.) He comes to hang with me once a week; so I try to have some new stories available for us to enjoy together. He loves to learn new facts and remembers things that we read together much better than I do. He is also a nature lover; so ldquo;The Ant Family - Fun Facts You Need To Knowrdquo; by Baby Professor is a perfect choice for him. The photos in this book are just phenomenal. They really couldnrsquo;t be any more amazing. The facts/information provided is interesting and relevant. The one thing I would really like to see different is to see the name of the types of ants shown on each page and maybe even where (in the world) they reside. Overall; we really enjoyed this book and Irsquo;m sure we will be enjoying it together again soon. Itrsquo;s a very interesting book with amazing photos and is a great choice for any young nature-lover.
