[ePub] Draw 50 Dogs: The Step-by-Step Way to Draw Beagles; German Shepherds; Collies; Golden Retrievers; Yorkies; Pugs; Malamutes; and Many More... by Lee J. Ames in Arts-Photography

Description

Columbus; Ohio; "an odd amalgam of the planned and the spontaneous;" was founded on the banks of the Scioto River in 1812 as the new seat of this young states government. Located in the wilderness of central Ohio; nearly equidistant to the "real" cities of Cincinnati; Cleveland; and Toledo; Columbus experienced 100 years of unprecedented growth from which it would emerge the states capital in more than title alone. Today; it is Ohios largest city. Forgotten Columbus features many people; places; and events that defined this burgeoning 19th and early-20th century city. And above all; the places--from the Old Ohio Penitentiary; to Fort Hayes; to the recently revitalized Brewery District--which either no longer exist; or have changed so dramatically over the years that they are barely recognizable. Residents and visitors alike will find this a fascinating; insightful; and at times surprising look back at a forgotten era in Columbuss history.

It is a good basic primer. but I dont think its all that great or instructive. Actually. there are NO instructions and some of the finished drawings I would consider intermediate and not beginner. Its all by sight and following the red lines that the artist/author has drawn. The first two steps of most of the drawings are easy to follow. As things get more detailed. its a little harder to follow on some of the illustrations. And on some of them. by the end. its impossible to tell where your initial red/drawing lines are supposed to be. Its decent. but not great. in my opinion.6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Always a good resourceBy LynnieLouI have a couple of these "Draw 50" books and they are always useful. This one is useful too. although I would have liked to see the drawings of dogs in different positions (laying down. from behind. etc.). but considering that there are fifty different dogs in this book. it would be difficult to see that in this format.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Useful book.By MarianThis simplifies drawing different breeds of dogs. I like this book better than the drawing fifty kinds of people because with the people I could have used a simple set of instructions to be able to draw humans--any human bodies in different positions not just bodies in costumes that maybe couldnt be generalized for other situations and periods. The dog breed pictures give a good look at the pertinent characteristics of each breed described.
