I did not find this book particularly inspiring. I am a realist artist. primarily figurative. and I was looking for a good reference to add to my library. His drawing style is beautiful. interesting how he uses the stump. but overall there werent enough nuggets like that to get me going. His gouache paintings are lovely. too. but there arent many in this book. I appreciate the value of this book to reveal and preserve familiarity with this artist. who might otherwise be lost to history. That may be the greatest value here.
