Never will regret it and I would encourage anyone interested in fantasy in art or writing to buy this one. (I bought several others but this is the favorite) for the importance of many things needed to be explored in fairy/bird/dino art and understanding the worlds. It is very inspiring both in what she chooses to paint. herself. as well as information on other ideas of mythical/magical creatures. She gives the backstories of every creature in the book and different variations of them - then shows some influential/inspiring sketches to go along with it. There are also helpful tips on painting with watercolor. other materials. and creating interesting compositions. She even includes some step-by-step watercolors in each chapter. I like Stephanie Pui-Mun Laws books. and recommend this one as well as her first DreamScapes book to anyone who likes watercolor. magical creatures. or art in general.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Stephanie Pui-Mun Law is not only an excellent artists but is also an excellent teacher. I found her book to be a wonderful guide to the world of watercolor AND an inspiring guide to the world of fantasy! She provides no less than 10 wonderful step by step instructions to creating a work of fantasy art in watercolor. starting from developing and design of your own fantasy beings and creatures to painting a masterpiece watercolor of such creations! One of the best resources in my library. I recommend this book be added to your own! A+++++
