FewellThe material covered by this book is crucial to the understanding of modern urban forms; and the text covers the transformation of cities in detail. The content is often theoretical and abstract; a situation made more difficult by the fact that this is a translation from French. It is not an ideal translation - some of the writing is clumsy and difficult to parse. The use of illustrations; maps; and photos is sporadic; and the text does not reference the figures at all. An improved edition would use more maps and diagrams to illustrate ideas presented in the text.On the whole; a must-read for anyone interested in the urban planning; but could use some improvement.
