Easy Baroque Duets for Violin

[audiobook] Easy Baroque Duets for Violin by Betty Barlow in Arts-Photography

Description

As a novelist; art critic; and cultural historian; Booker Prize-winning author John Berger is a writer of dazzling eloquence and arresting insight whose work amounts to a subtle; powerful critique of the canons of our civilization. In About Looking he explores our role as observers to reveal new layers of meaning in what we see. How do the animals we look at in zoos remind us of a relationship between man and beast all but lost in the twentieth century? What is it about looking at war photographs that doubles their already potent violence? How do the nudes of Rodin betray the threats to his authority and potency posed by clay and flesh? And how does solitude inform the art of Giacometti? In asking these and other questions; Berger quietly -- but fundamentally -- alters the vision of anyone who reads his work.

Introducing beginners to chamber musicBy ChefdevergueMy daughter has been studying for 4 years now. but the Suzuki: Duets for Violins arent really duets so much as they are a continuo for the 2nd violin. I want to get her more comfortable with true chamber music. with all instruments playing an equal part. and these duets are a great start. The skill levels accommodate beginning through intermediate students. are clearly notated for easy reading. and are actually pretty charming pieces! When she started studying. I always hoped that some day we could play duets together. Boccherini or Bartoacute;k would be my ideal. but we all have to start somewhere. and this is a great way to start. Recommended!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Nice Baroque MusicBy Mario CruzIt Is very nice music. big typing and easy pieces. Even the low part is nice also. It would be even nicer if the two parts were separated.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Tunes are easy enough but not uninterestingBy Swamp YankeeA friend and I are using this together. We are adults who have come back to violin after many years. and are playing together for the first time. (In my case. playing with another person for the first time.) It provides a very accessible first step out of practicing alone. into the much-more-fun world of making music together with a friend. Tunes are easy enough but not uninteresting.
