Lyotards thoughts on the postmodern have often been misunderstood or misrepresented. Lyotard Reframed provides a clear and original introduction to Lyotards work on the postmodern and his philosophy more generally; demonstrating its on-going relevance to creative endeavour and debates concerning the value and significance of the visual arts. It also situates Lyotards discussion of the postmodern in the context of his other key concepts: the Figural; the Libidinal; and the Sublime. Written for students; teachers and those interested in the arts more generally; Lyotard Reframed employs numerous examples drawn from painting; cinema; and comic books; to illustrate the significance of these ideas and to explore their links with phenomenology; Marxism; structuralism; psychoanalysis and deconstruction. It also presents a glossary of relevant concepts and a useful guide to further reading.

It was just right; with my daughter playing the piano; and my granddaughters joining in the singing; I couldnt have been more pleased with this book. It has all the traditional carols; as well as the verses; plus a simple piano accompaniment. Perfect for a joyful Christmas carol sing.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great giftBy Donalene S. PoduskaMy daughter and son-in-law asked for a carol book; hoping that I will give them one of my beautiful ones. I wasnt ready to give them one of those but got one that would have the music and words that they wanted. They were pleased with the gift!2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Poor song choicesBy ShanZThis only had a few of the popular Chistmas songs. There were many unknown and overly difficult songs. I wish there had been more information on the contents.
