Here is the autobiography of Cheetah Chrome; lead guitarist of the Dead Boys; one of the greatest punk bands ever. Itrsquo;s a tale of success--and excess: great music; drugs (he overdosed and was pronounced dead three times); and resurrection. The Dead Boys; with roots in the band Rocket from the Tombs; came out of Cleveland to dominate the NYC punk scene in the mid-1970s. Their hit ldquo;Sonic Reducerrdquo; soon became a punk anthem. Now; for the first time; Cheetah dishes on the people hersquo;s known onstage and off; including the Dead Boysrsquo; legendary singer Stiv Bators; Johnny Thunders of the New York Dolls; the Ramones; the Clash; Pere Ubu; and the Ghetto Dogs; as well as life at CBGBs; a year with Nico; and more. Straight from the man; these are the backstage stories that every punk fan will want to hear. Never mind the Sex Pistols; herersquo;s Cheetah Chrome!

Layout is bad. narrative is shallow (but does include important information) and printing is large. filling pages that should have images of her greatest achievements. There was no final proofreading so it is filled with typos. I appreciate the wealth of information but I think the entire book should be reworked. Dont believe the reviews from the fashion business. as it is a self-promoting industry with little substance. I know very little about the designs of Edith Head and I would like to learn.I love Edith Heads designs in A Foreign Affair. The Heiress. Carrie. Witness for the Prosecution. The Lady Eve. Ball of Fire. Double Indemnity. Notorious. A Place in the Sun. Rear Window. Vertigo. Roman Holiday. To Catch a Thief. The Birds. Marnie. Sylvia. Sweet Charity. The Sting.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Oh how I wish she were still aliveBy Girl for Animal LiberationThe woman behind all of Hitchcocks wardrobe. This woman is amazing. Such an eye for the female body. I wish she were alive today as Id love to see what she would be creating for todays Hollywood Actresses. If you love Edith Head and 1950s Fashion as much as I do. This book is a must for your collection.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Mostly SatisfiedBy TimI received the item on time as indicated but was disappointed that the jacket cover is sort of a mess -- especially since I am giving this book as a gift to someone else. Im surprised given that I paid the highest price on for the book that it now will appear to my family member that the book has been used when clearly I purchased a new copy.
