Its hard to explain to children about the differences between male and female. Learning the boy parts can best be explained through a great book. The book can show the differences between the two; and also give them functions of the parts. Parents who have a hard time explaining the birds and the bees would enjoy a guide that can help them along.

Good beginner book; not too in depth thoughBy KyleIts a good basic book for learning about environment settings and generally what some numbers in the materials settings affect. If you are looking for quick and dirty renderings and know nothing about max; this is a good book for you. MR is a very powerful render engine; and the book doesnt cover lighting with photometric lights; the HDR section is bad; bad; terrible. If you have basic knowledge on Max and MR; then you could go to the Autodesk online store and get video training that are better. I own about 5 training videos from Autodesk which are basically conferences by well known artists like Gary M. Davis and even though they are short; around 90 minutesa piece; they explain some things that books dont cover. In my opinion if you buy the book Rendering with mental ray and 3ds max by Joep van der Steen you will have a more rich information about how mental ray works; (it also includes some interior and exterior tutorials) so you could then simply apply it to your architectural projects.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good Tuturials to learn fromBy M. LombardoIm running 3D Max 2012 and though this book examples from 3D Max 9 everything follows along just fine. There are plenty of images to direct you where to find certain buttons and menus. The tutorials take you step by step on how and why to perform tasks to get the look youre aiming for. You can easily transpose those settings to your own personal projects. If buying used definitely make sure it comes with the CD; all the tutorials work from the CD and would be almost worthless without it.
