Great for the intermediate to advanced piano player; love the song mixBy kemilieMy kids (like many others!) are crazy obsessed with Star Wars and requested this book. I was a bit hesitant to buy it without the ability to preview any of the pages; as I didnt find any clear description in the details as to the difficulty level of the book. I decided to give it a try as I knew they could grow into the material if it was currently too difficult. The verdict? Great mix of music; and decent range of playabliity - but definitely not for beginners. Some songs with no flats/sharps; some with one or two; and some with five! A few that will be playable by a student with 2 (?) + years of experience; and some what will be more challenging. Even the challenging ones; however; are still fun for my kids - they enjoy picking out the melody line. Great addition to our music shelf!4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. But other than that it is fantastic. More for the advanced player; but the music is great. I have many Star Wars piano books and this is the first one that contains the ending credits motif. Its the second one I own with the fanfare at the beginning of the Main Titles; definitely a plus. My favorite pieces to play are the opening titles; Reys Theme; and Jedi Steps. But they are all fun to play! I would highly recommend this book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Blows all other Star Wars Sheet Music Books AwayBy Alex PrzeslawskiUnlike the other Star Wars sheet music books; which will only have a selection of "best ofs" from the movie; this book contains almost the entire soundtrack to Episode 7. The music sounds like it does from the movie. There is a wide range of ddifficulty here so there is something for everyone (The Scavenger is quite easy to play and serves as an easier Reys Theme - March of the Resistance is very difficult; especially at tempo).Something must be said for the book to have both the theme following the Main Title (which is unique to every Star Wars movie; but never in the sheet music; until now); and the End Credits. No book Ive found on or elsewhere has contained this music. Neither are /technically/ completely in full; but it comes darn close and certainly feels that way - the Jedi Steps leading into the End Credits in particular is one of the best musical moments in Star Wars; and it feels very satisfying to play.
