Eliminated! Now What?

[DOC] Eliminated! Now What? by Jean Baur at Arts-Photography

Description

This anthology features translations of ten seminal plays written during the Yuan dynasty (1279--1368); a period considered the golden age of Chinese theater. By turns lyrical and earthy; sentimental and ironic; Yuan drama spans a broad emotional; linguistic; and stylistic range. Combining sung arias with declaimed verses and doggerels; dialogues and mime; and jokes and acrobatic feats; Yuan drama formed a vital part of Chinas culture of performance and entertainment in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. To date; few Yuan-dynasty plays have been translated into English. Well-known translators and scholars have supervised the making of this collection and add a short description to each play. A general introduction situates all selections within their cultural and historical contexts.

My kids love science and I try to read to them during the sporting events instead of them playing video games. The books in this series have wonderful pictures along with little facts that go along with them. The words are easy for readers that have been reading for a couple of years but if your child is too young for that this book is great to read to them! The book is written in plan terms that kids can understand. Itrsquo;s a great way to introduce science facts to kids. Each book in this series introduced one particular aspect of science and portrays it in a way that makes kids want to learn more. I plan on recommending this series for the pre-K teacher at my sonsrsquo; school who loves to introduce the kids to science. What a cool book to get kids into science and teach them where all of our electricity comes from. The pictures are of things young ones will be able to recognize easily and will help facilitate a introduction into electronics for kids. After reading this book to my kids we sat and talked about electricity and how important it is for 30 minutes. I always love to expose my kids to science anytime I can. As a side note Im hoping they will understand when I ask them to turn the lights off when they leave the room.I love that this book is available in digital form so its much easier to take it with me when we are on the road to keep the kids entertained. I would recommend this book to anyone with kids.I received this book at a free or reduced price in exchange for providing an honest and unbiased review. Lets Get Charged! (All About Electricity) : 5th Grade Science Series: Fifth Grade Books Electricity for Kids (Childrens Physics Books)3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Great Graphics!By Triedit.onlineElectricity for fifth graders is my first Baby Professor book. Overall the book would make a nice addition to a curriculum to be used for review or as a visual aid to a lecture. The graphics in this book are remarkable! The photography is amazingly well done. Each page features one photo to illustrate the concept being described. I actually found myself going back to the red sky and windmill landscape. There are some minor issues with the delivery of the educational content; for example the abbreviations AC and DC are introduced without explaining that they mean alternating and direct current. Any fifth grade teacher would find this a nice outline for a class lecture. It summarizes exactly what information should be taken away from basic science curriculum in electricity and magnetism. The details of course would have to provided by the lecturer. Alternatively it could be used at home for test review of the main concepts.Disclosure: I received this book for free in exchange for an honest product review.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Another Baby Professor book with some cool pictures. There are about 200 books in this ...By ElizabethAnother Baby Professor book with some cool pictures. There are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99cent;. You cant really go wrong with the books offered for free. There is a variety of subjects covered and most of the books follow about the same format. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book. This particular book is ok. The format for this book is the same as most of the Baby Professor books in this series which have a picture with a paragraph and facts on one page. Then the next page is just a photo. It would be nice if they had another paragraph on that page too. I mean its great they have a picture of an abacus and talk about it. But then the next page is just a picture of another abacus. It would be very simple to talk about how one is used by sliding the beads.I wish the book wouldnt show someone touching a lightbulb that is on and with a screwdriver placing it in unknown hole. Not a big deal to me hopefully as my kids are older and I will eventfully read this with them and explain why not to do something like that but I think its something off to have in a childrens book.Anyway; overall; I do like theses books for their wonderful pictures. It would be nice if the books went into more detail but they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject. It will be pretty neat for my kids to be able to see the progression of the computer and how a computer used to take up entire rooms!I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I sometimes watch a friends 3 year old daughter and she likes to look through the pictures on my phone. I plan on showing her these books to keep her entertained. I think she will love them.***** I received this ebook for free for my honest review. *****
