I like the variety of genres included. There is a little something for everyone. If I take my uke "on the road" I will feel more confident with this volume in hand. I hope the leap year book also comes out in the to-go format. It is very convenient to have both the melody and chord notation for each song. Some of these Im unfamiliar with; but now I can figure them out. I also appreciate having chord charts at the top of each song. Some of the chords are new to me; I just started playing uke a month ago. Now I can glance under the title and keep playing vs having to stop and look up the chord.I like that childrens and holiday songs are separate. It would also be helpful to have additional sections. It will be helpful if I join the local ukulele group as well.My friend has the original Ukulele Today. Hands down; I prefer this format.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. The book is easy to carry and the text is easy to see ...By JennieFabulous selections and when I took it in to my instructor he was impressed I had been so prepared as a new student. I can play on the piano the tune just to get a feel of the melody before switching to the ukulele. Yes I have previous music experience but just intermediate level. The book is easy to carry and the text is easy to see at a distance. I definitely recommend the book as the selections are varied and fun to learn.6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. 8.5 x 5.5 inches of easy to carry UKULELE FUN !!By Mike LyonI already own the original (twice as large) version - but the "To Go" volume measures 5.5 x 1 x 8.5 inches and is MUCH easier to travel with. Easy to read and fun to play from - I LOVE IT!!!!
