6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. poorly organizedBy Melissa S.The book was written in an easy to read conversational tone; and has a lot of interesting information. However; it is poorly organized; jumping back and forth between several in a single paragraphs. Information and quotations were given out of context. It was difficult; if not impossible; to know what time period and geographic zone the author was referring to much of the time.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A lot of information but badly organized.By Ryan A. MillsI had to read this for a class and I found it to be really weirdly written. The author knows her stuff and there is a lot of interesting information. However; Im not sure who the target audience is. Its organized strangely and its often hard to keep track. It moves back and forth between subjects and time periods. I wish there had been more pictures to go along with some of the descriptions. The pictures that were included were fascinating but for someone who isnt a fashion industry professional or historian; I was left confused about some of them.3 of 4 people found the following review helpful.
