Excellent addition to your libraryBy LesleyThis is a well-researched and thought out book; filled with interesting examples taken from clinical practice and presented in an immensely readable fashion. Its an important addition to the library of any clinician who introduces clay work with patients/clients; or is planning to. There are all levels of skills presented here; and one need not have a strong background in clay to benefit from this book. I highly recommend it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Clay as a form of therapy and communicationBy margaret SaffordMr. Henley wrote this book with the intention of being able to pick the book up and read chapters of interest...and this was done well. I found this very helpful as I am getting more students in my pottery classes that have special needs.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. FantasticBy MelissaAs a graduate art therapy student I found this book incredibly helpful. I do not have a profound background in clay work and Henley addresses it perfectly. Through breaking down the clay process; glazing techniques; and history I now feel very well versed in using clay in therapy sessions. In fact; I found this book so laced with metaphorical potency; I feel it should ingrained in all graduate programs with more emphasis on clay works in therapy and graduate studies.
