It is certainly a book which wont appeal to those who go to Florence only to "do" the city and see the most famous works within a day or two. You will have to spend considerably longer than that following the author around; e-book in hand; to make Florence really live. When you get home you will remember where you have been and what you have seen. You will not have just "done Florence" like any tourist; and you may have fallen in love with her forever!

There is no other book on the English market that discusses idols like this one does. The book first appealed to me because of the cover. Once I saw it I knew exactly where it came from; and that is Maeda Atsuko took home the crown for #1 in the general election for AKB48. The description of the book was exactly what I needed for my project that I am working on in one of my classes. Writing a project about idols if fun but attempting to find books written about them is very difficult. The description on the page; coupled with the information from the back cover gave an excellent summary of what I was about to read. This book had everything to male jpop idols to female jpop idols so in that aspect alone it was commendable since with this knowledge we get to see even more about what is different in the Media. My only comment would be that since the idol boom exploded not too long ago it would be nice to get some things updated; or even do a second edition. I recommend this book to anyone who is curious about idols; and I believe that eve hardcore fans will enjoy this.
