I currently teach a multiage classroom of 1st and 2nd graders with varying ability levels from non readers to students reading at or above a 5th grade level. The title says; Frogs of the World- but no where in the book does it mention where a certain frog lives in the world. That is misleading. But it does have some great facts about frogs.My rating: 5 STARS!What or if I would use this for: I would use this to teach the skill of context clues to find the meaning of words and phrases. In terms of a non-fiction book; It is lack luster in terms of text features- as there really arent any! It ends very quickly; with no conclusion; even though there was an introduction. The intro was pretty pointless to the book anyway.What my students thought: The students were surprised there wasnt a picture on the first page. My students loved the photographs.Quality of photographs or illustrations: The photographs are stunning! I love how close up and detailed they are.Depth of knowledge: This is fairly straight forward in terms of a fact book.Text quality: I like the size and that it is in different positions on pages. Man of my students would be able to read this book by the end of the year- minus a few of the vocabulary words.╰☆╮஠I did get a discount for my honest review of this Gribbit! Very cute ebook about frogs; lots of fun facts and great pictures!!By ElizabethAnother Baby Professor book with vivid pictures. There are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99cent;. You cant really go wrong with the books offered for free. There is a variety of subjects covered and most of the books follow about the same format. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book.It seems the format for this book and most of the Baby Professor books have a picture with a paragraph and facts on the page. Then the next page is just a photo. It would be nice if they had another paragraph on that page as well. But again; since many are free its hard to complain. But overall; I do like this book and most of the others too for the awesome photos. The facts presented are nice but it would be better if the books went into more detail. Again they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject.I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I sometimes entertain a friends 3 year old daughter who loves to look through pictures on my phone. Fun Time With Frogs!!By WendyDo you want to sit down with your child or children and show them about nature? I love to teach my son about all types of animals that live on our planet. This is another great book to start your kids off with a love and appreciation of animals. Gibbit! Fun Facts About Frogs of the World: Frog Book for Kids is wonderful! This book has great pictures that shows vivid details of the different frogs and their habitat. They have multiple species of frogs that range in color from a greenish color to brown; yellows and even red. The book teaches basic fun facts about the animal; their early stages of life to adult life. It tells you about how there is over 5;000 species of frogs alone! The book is very child friendly and has around 20 to 30 words per page. A parent would be able to sit down and read this to their child or have the child read it to them in no time.My son and I read this book multiple times on my Kindle on the PC. He is now telling me ldquo;allrdquo; about frogs and is wanting to read more! I dont think you would be disappointed in your selection.
