The pictures in this book are really quite breathtaking.By ElizabethThere are about 200 books in this ebook series that are offered in the kindle store for either free or for .99cent;. You cant really go wrong with the books offered for free. There is a variety of subjects covered and most of the books follow about the same format. You can take a peek inside the books by clicking "Look Inside" and this is pretty much what you get in each book.I gave this ebook only 4 stars because it just seemed rather short and couldve contained more information with better basic explainations of some of the places and terms. It seems the format for this book and most of the Baby Professor books have a picture with a paragraph and facts on the page. Then the next page is just a picture. It would be nice if they had another paragraph on that page as well. But again; since many are free its hard to complain. The pictures in this book and most of these books are quite spectacular and that som times makes up for the lack of information. Overall; I do like the books in this Baby Professor series but it would be nice if the books went into more detail. They are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject.I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I hope these books will spark some interest in my kiddos on various subjects. I also occasionally entertain a friends 3 year old daughter and she loves looking through pictures on my phone. Next time; Im going let her look through these books. It only tells you about 7 locations in SE Asia. And by "tells you about" I mean there is ONE sentence telling you what the location is and ONE sentence telling you a fact or two about it. We read 3 books in this series in a 5 minute wait in a waiting room. I dont feel enough information is given to pique a childs natural curiosity to ask for more information.The reason Im giving it 3 stars is the photos are spectacular. I have a 3rd grader; 1st grader and kindergartner. Every night we try to spend 20 minutes reading. I was given this book in exchange for my honest feedback. The kindle edition is great and easy to use. The baby professor books are great for everyday reading; for teachers or homeschooling. These are great quick reads that are visually stimulating as well as fun to read. These are meant to be reference tools not whole subject books. Each page features a fact and a picture. The illustrations in these books are simply stunning. My first grader was able to read most of the words on each page. I love that my kids are able to see and understand other parts of the world through these books.
