Perfect book for my skill levelBy missesbThe reviews are all over the place on this book - some say its way too hard and some say way too easy :)For me; this book is spot on for where Im at. Im a 40 year old who has only been playing for 4 months. Although the songs in this book are challenging for me; with a lot of practice I can play everything just fine. I have some other "simple piano" books that really are too dumbed down and too boring in my opinion so I really like the challenge of this book.I really like Chopin and the songs in this book do not sound like a beginner; simple version by any means. This book obviously doesnt dive into any of the hard parts of Chopin songs but sticks to the core parts of the music but this book is not meant to be an advanced book.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Too Simple to Keep the Original SpiritBy MaitreI read the previous reviews; and thought the book was for at least intermediate level. However; it was too simple. Some songs were so simplified that I couldnt feel the original spirit from the original work. Like the famous Etude Op. 10 No.3 in E major was completely modified to a different song. I was hoping that the book could simplified some difficult songs but still could keep the original spirit. I am very disappointed; and wont buy the same Simply series again.5 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Too Difficult for BeginnersBy RochelleYorkI was very disappointed with this book. I have two others in the series: Simply Romantic Era and Simply Baroque Era. Those are wonderful books; and just right for beginners -- not too easy and not too hard. This book is by a different adapter. And; in my opinion; this book should not have been accepted into the series. Most of the songs are much too difficult for beginners. They are more appropriate for intermediary pianists.I never would have purchased it if I saw it first in the store.Be forewarned: If you are a beginner; you might find this book frustrating; and not pleasurable.
