DisappointingBy Paul KayWhile some of the history of the city was pretty good; the author spent 10 pages describing the evolution of what is now the current Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (or is it Putz-Gazette) newspaper. When he refers back to an article he used for the book; he has to throw what was currently the name of the paper at the time. Couldnrsquo;t a lot of these acknowledgements have been in a footnotes section? Please give me more Pittsburgh history and less of the the constant referring back to your favorite previous employer.Next time that I buy a book on history; it will be written by an author who either has ties to a historical society or is a professor of history; NOT by a previous newspaper editor.0 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
