[ebooks] Fly Fishing Bull Sluice Lake Morgan Falls Dam Area: An Excerpt from Fly Fishing Georgia (No Nonsense Fly Fishing Guidebooks) by David Cannon in Arts-Photography

Description

Leonardo; like Christopher Columbus; possessed an greedy curiosity and desire for discovery of unknown worlds. Only observation; says many times Leonardo; is the key to knowledge and understanding. His drawings are unlike from those of his generation and those drawn before and after him. Among them are fast sketches; portraits; rapid notes for compositions; complicated cartoons; drapery studies; and projects for machines; plants; animals; sketched from nature and anatomical studies. The grotesque caricatures are combinations and variations of human faces; creating a series of types. His anatomical sketches make obvious not only the place of muscles or the bone construction; they as well illustrate the embryo in mothers womb and a exposed skull; - symbols of the creation and ending of human life.

I wanted a better understanding of what best practices exist in the realm of parking. I wasnt disappointed. I believe this to be an excellent reference piece; not only for local government but for anyone interested in urban planning on any scale. It is written fairly conversationally. Richard Willson cant quite glamourize the subject; but he does manage to make his points concisely and easily; and he conveys the necessary information well. The practices described and the citations and anecdotes contained in this book made the subject fairly palatable. Well Done.*I received my copy through NetGalley.com in exchange for an honest review.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Parking Management for Smart Growth is an effective antidote and informative guide to ...By Aiden IrishNobody wants to talk about parking until they cant find a space when they need it; yet parking is a critical; yet little mentioned; aspect of urban development. Richard Willsons book on the subject (in addition to his previous work; "Parking Reform Made Easy") offers a clarion articulation of parking management in the midst of voices that are either esoteric or lacking in rational coherence. Dr. Willson manages to present a subject of crucial importance to every person (not just those who drive or manage cities) in language that is simultaneously informative; non-threatening; convincing; and (dare I say) enjoyable. Too many cities are held back by regressive parking policies and waylaid by inaccurate assumptions. Parking Management for Smart Growth is an effective antidote and informative guide to effective management for the 21st Century. This book should be standard reading not only for urban planners; transportation engineers; and every city council member; but for every person who has ever wondered what needs to be done to help them efficiently find a parking space.
