[ebooks] Gareth Malonersquo;s Guide to Classical Music: The Perfect Introduction to Classical Music by Gareth Malone at Arts-Photography

Description

What on earth is happening to our planet? And who knows what to do? Certainties are few: every living thing is related to every other living thing; our actions have consequences; change is continual and inevitable. The National Theatre asked four of the countrys most exciting writers to investigate. The team spent six months interviewing key individuals from the worlds of science; politics; business and philosophy to create a fast-paced and provocative new play. Greenland premiered at the National Theatre; London; in February 2011.

I read and also listened to the book in less than two days. now I am going day by day chapter enjoying the book even more. The book gives you a different perspective of classical music. from a much broader and simple point of view that gives you the need to go for more. The book encouraged me to research and not be afraid to learn of music pieces that I never considered I was ready for. I love the way Gareth read the book; it was read in a very friendly way. like if he was talking face to face to the listener guiding and showing me that you just have to have the desire to enjoy classical music. I will recommend it to anyone. and cannot praise Gareth enough to have put this book together for those that just love choral music. but dont have any actual musical culture or knowledge. Love you Gareth.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A great educational toolBy Claude LambertThere is always something to learn in the biography of successful people. Such educational tools should be more spread in school libraries.British musician and choirmaster Gareth Malone became well known with a BBC show series called The Choir. where Malone is seen patiently creating choirs in very difficult conditions and bringing them to astonishingly good levels. The shows helped changing the perception of choirs all over Britain. It is of course delightful to read if you watched some of the shows. but it is also extremely interesting to study the man. He has a lot in common with Chris Gardner. the hero of the movie The Pursuit Of Happyness: they both can analyze what they did wrong. they are incredibly stubborn and very very hard workers. So ambitious musicians and artists will be interested in studying Malones memoirs whereas future financial wizz should read Gardners book The Pursuit of Happyness1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I loved this!By KirstySThe behind the scenes info about how Gareth Malone won the hearts of his choirs... and of those that watched the shows. It was great to find out some of the things that werent shown due to lack of air time and reading the book inspired me to track down the shows online and watch them again... and again... and again. A story of a man who believes everyone has a voice. they just need to find it and use it. this is a book Ill read over and over. In fact. Im just about to read it again for the third time.
