Genesi; sviluppo; compianto. (Italian Edition)

[audiobook] Genesi; sviluppo; compianto. (Italian Edition) by Domenico Marano in Arts-Photography

Description

Buffed up to a metallic shine; loose fitting; lopsided; or kludgy; getting in the way or getting lost; collapsing in an explosion of dust caught on the warehouse CCTV. Modern things are going their own ways; and this book attempts to follow them. A course of thought about their comings and goings and cascading side effects; The Way Things Go offers a thesis demonstrated via a century-long countdown of stuff. Modernist critical theory and aesthetic method; it argues; are bound up with the inhuman fate of things as novelty becoming waste. Things are seldom at rest. Far more often they are going their own ways; entering and exiting our zones of attention; interest; and affection. Aaron Jaffe is concerned less with a humanist story of such thingsmdash;offering anthropomorphizing narratives about recouping the items we usemdash;as he is with the seemingly inscrutable; inhuman capacities of things for coarticulation and coherence. He examines the tension between this inscrutability on the one hand; and the ways things seem ready-made for understanding on the other hand; by means of exposition; thing-and-word-play; conceptual art; essayism; autopoesis; and prop comedy.Among other novelties and detritus; The Way Things Go delves into books; can openers; roller skates; fat; felt; soap; joy buzzers; hobbyhorses; felt erasers; sleds; magic rabbits; and urinals. But it stands apart from the recent flood of thing-talk; rebuking the romantic tendencies caught up in the pathetic nature of debris defining the conversation. Jaffe demonstrates that literary criticism is the one mode of analysis that can unpack the many things that; at first glance; seem so nonliterary.

Photos this crime history buff has never seen!By chiefy3There are many photos in this collection Ive never seen and over the years ive searched for many Capone-era pictures and information. Most of these have never been published in any other venue that i know of; The clarity and quality of almost every photo is crisp and clear. Not only will history buffs enjoy this; but automobile lovers as well.I should point out that I was able to view these photos for free; as i had a free promotional coupon from to purchase the collection. But I definitely would have paid to see these photos. I should also point out that while the photos are unique; there arent that many of them. Is it worth the $3.84 current price? If youre a Chicago and/or crime history buff; definitely yes.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. and very interesting read with great pics!By Groupie of Mad Menso many Illinois connections........ and very interesting read with great pics!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A great pictorial if you are a fan of AlBy Ariesian1I got the Kindle version of this book and thought the pictures were of great quality and loved that I could maximize them and zoom on my iPad. The pictures give you an idea of just how big a deal Al Capone really was. There were crowds at everything! One warning is that there are a couple pictures of assassinated individuals that may be hard to see or inappropriate for some including the famous St. Valentines Day Massacre scene. Other than that I found the pictures of the Capone family fascinating. Also; one of the pictures of a funeral had arrows that they said were for unknown purposes. my guess is theyre pointing out possible guns in the crowd. Looked that way to me; but its just conjecture.
