I dont give 5 stars because in my opinion the quality of the reproductions is not consistent. There are a set of reproductions with great quality but a considerable number of illustrations could have a better image quality.28 of 30 people found the following review helpful. At Long Last -- a good book on WC Wyeths IllustrationsBy SinbadAs someone who has long loved NC Wyeths illustrations of classic adventure stories (I possess several of the Scribners Classics series illustrated by him). I have been looking for some time without success for a good collection of the prints. Not finding what I sought. I decided to order a copy of the Dover Fine Art publication despite the somewhat negative review on this site criticizing the quality of the prints. Better something than nothing. I thought.Im glad I did. I found the selection to be terrific -- including all the most famous ones -- and the print quality fine -- every bit as good as in the Scribners books. So I dont know what that reviewer is complaining about. The book was a treat -- much better than I expected. My only disappointment was that the collection is not more extensive and not in hardcover. I would encourage the publisher to expand this edition and put out a more ambitious book. the complete NC Wyeth. Ill buy that one too.In the meantime. this will do just fine0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good. but could be betterBy userA nice selection of N.C. Wyeths work. The quality of reproduction is excellent for many of the illustrations. but several are below standard. Two issues: 1. Too bad the book is not a hard cover; 2. The order of the illustrations is not progressive by date or by topic. but seems a little haphazard.
