Im a huge fan of Hairspray (proud to say that I saw the musical 3 times to my sisters chagrin) and was devastated when they bowed out of Broadway. As much as I liked the movie versions. they werent just the same. I always wished that they filmed the musical and put it on DVD. However. this book is a close second best. The book has the lyrics and script for the musical ONLY. It is set up in play format. There are no arrangements for the music or anything else. You have to get a separate book for that - Hairspray: Piano/Vocal Selections. In the center. there are 2 pages of images of the OBC. The quality of the book and pages are pretty sturdy. The font is a decent. readable size.For fans of the musical. this is a must have. Its like owning a piece of my favorite show in paper format.
