Every other page drops new knowledge and I love the numerous references to the Teacha. KRS One. Hip Hops true Philosopher. These guys know their Hip Hop History and purpose. and have a great understanding of the Kulture and how it can be compared to a Socratic-like philosophy. The foreword by Dr. Cornell West is tight as well. This is real Hip Hop literary commentary and examines the Hip Hop life. which to me. IS worth living! Excellent job. highly recommend. Peace! Two Thumbs Up!By Nolan Harris JrThis volume is very engaging and is best at explaining rather dense philosophical ideas through the lens of Hip-Hop. I was very impressed and would really like to see an updated edition--a Volume 2. as it were. I especially enjoyed the exegesis of Hegel and Sartre in the the pieces by Pittman and Gines respectively. Definitely recommend!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
