Excellent; includes Hymns of FaithBy Mama CatThis is an excellent Lenten devotional for Christians who appreciate some of the classic hymns of the faith. It is not written specifically for any denomination. Each devotion is short and to the point; I would assume to be approximately one page each. The reading for each day tells a little about the hymn writer or composer whose hymn appears for that day.The words to each hymn (not every verse; but most verses) can be used to meditate on about Jesus and His suffering and death on the cross for my sins. To me; it was wonderful to read or sing silently or quietly. Not all were ones that I am familiar with; but the words to each hymn; whether I knew it or not; had special meaning during this time.I highly recommend this Devotional for those who love some of the great hymns of the faith that could be associated with Lent and to anyone who has appreciated any of the other hymn books or devotionals by Robert Morgan.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. EnlighteningBy C. ChambersThis is the second time Ive used this book in my devotions for Lent; and I so enjoy the backstories and history of the selected hymns.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Nice devotional bookBy Ruth Ann BranhamMy husband and I are using this book through this Lenten season on each of our Kindles. As the title suggests; the author gives meditations based on hymns; including the story behind the hymns writing and some comments and a Scripture verse to go with each days reading. Some of the hymn stories are a little briefer than I would like (I would prefer more details about the writing of the hymn); but all in all this is a nice devotional book to read in the weeks prior to the celebration of our Lords resurrection.
