In-depth interviews with the main movers in the punk rock movement—Crass members Penny Rimbaud; Gee Vaucher; and Steve Ignorant—detail the face of the revolution founded by these radical thinkers and artists. When punk ruled the waves; Crass waived the rules by putting out their own records; films; and magazines and setting up a series of situationist pranks that were dutifully covered by the worldrsquo;s press. Not just another iconoclastic band; Crass was a musical; social; and political phenomenon: commune dwellers that were rarely photographed and remained contemptuous of conventional pop stardom. As detailed in this history; their members explored and finally exhausted the possibilities of punk-led anarchy. This definitive biography of the band not only gives backstage access to their lives; philosophies; and the movement that followed; but also to never-before-seen photographs and rare dialogues.

I got the suggestion to read this book from another acting book and after looking at other reviews I thought it would be a good buy. Its an easy read. you can probably get through it in an afternoon if you wanted. It really is motivational and helps you understand what it takes to get going what will be required as an actor in Hollywood. I hope to find more books like this!!!2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Very. very. very. basic infoBy Erynn DaltonThis book contains nothing but very obvious information about becoming an actor and living in LA. Some of the info includes earth-shattering advice like showing up for auditions on time. not being lazy and sitting around on the couch all day. etc. Basic common sense. really. Save up your money and go buy some nice headshots instead! :)1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Must-Read. from the casting perspectiveBy Nicky HawthorneStop what youre doing. get your hands on a copy of this book and youll thank me. Or more accurately. youll thank Michael Wallach for sharing his wealth of Hollywood knowledge. Knowledge hes gleaned first hand from 25+ years in the business. The best part. its not in some sort of hoity toity I know more than you code. but rather from the prospective of two. very relateable actors new to L.A. characters. Whether youre brand new to L.A. or have been here for years. youll find immediately applicable information in this book. Having helped cast 15+ feature films myself. this book is a must-read for anyone looking to get arrested in Tinseltown.
