I thought it was various comics ABOUT Parkinsons by various cartoonists; so I bought it for my step father; who has Parkinsons and enjoys comics. However; it is not. It is various cartoonists doing tributes to the Cul de Sac comic to raise money FOR Parkinsons. Its a good cause; and the comics are good -- but they value was sort of lost on me because I had never read the Cul de Sac comic strip before; so the homages and send-ups didnt mean much to me.I think this would be a fun book for people who are fans of the original strip.I dont regret buying it; though...Parkinsons sucks and Im in favor of fundraising efforts!6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. A tribute to Richard thompsonBy Means Johnston IIIRichard Thompson is a comic who tells a story about an average family. What makes this strip remarkable is in the empathy he has for these people. Cul De Sac is a wonderful strip. Team Cul De Sac is a chance for Mr Thompsons contemporaries to pay tribute to the comic and raise money for a good cause. We have seen tributes slipped into strips before such as Patrick McDonnel inserting the Peanuts characters in a museum looking at a painting while Linus is Looking at the image of Earl the dog. This time it is a dedicated panel where the artist draws Cul De Sac characters into their own strip or medium. Alice; her brother Pety and their long suffering parents have a complete makeover in the hands of other artists.
