Great casual pictorial history offering snippets of local history. Not a serious history or a historical reference; but enjoyable. I have the Kindle version and viewed it on an iPad. The most enjoyable part of the electronic books is the ability to zoom in on the pictures and explore the small details that are easy to miss in the hard copy. I thought it would have been more useful to use as a guide if the information was better correlated within the townships. Nice collection of historical photosBy timelessgirl77I purchased this book for my dad who grew up in Clinton County in the 40s and 50s. I was happy to be able to give him such a personal gift. He immediately recognized the places and some of the people. There were only a few things that were familiar to me; but I still enjoyed looking through the book. Its a nice collection of photos; well labeled. Sometimes I wished they had given more information with the photos; but perhaps thats the only information they had. (And Im far more interested in history than most people; so the average reader might find the captions to be plenty.) Im very grateful people are preserving these historical photos for future generations. I would recommend this book for anyone with Clinton County ties.
