She becomes pregnant and gives birth in Sezzadio; where her child is baptised with the name Aleramo. His parents leave him in Sezzadio where a nurse takes care of him. They carry on their pilgrimage; never seeing him again. Aleramo becomes a knight for the German Emperor Otto I and falls in love with his beautiful daughter Alasia. The Emperor does not allow their marriage and the two lovers are forced to escape. After Alasias premature death; Aleramo marries two more times. The Marquis manages to stop Saracen attacks. Empress Adelaide admires his diplomatic skills and wants him to become Imperial Dignitary; helping him to get the title of Marquis of the Committees of Acqui; Savona; Asti; Monferrato; Torino; Vercelli; Parma; Cremona and Bergamo.
