Il campione di ping pong (Italian Edition)

[DOC] Il campione di ping pong (Italian Edition) by Marco Candida in Arts-Photography

Description

Its like being at a crossroads - a point of absolute; unequivocal change. It makes the blood rush.Theatre Royal; Covent Garden; 1833. Edmund Kean; the greatest actor of his generation; has collapsed on stage whilst playing Othello. A young black American actor has been asked to take over the role. But as the public riot in the streets over the abolition of slavery; how will the cast; critics and audience react to the revolution taking place in the theatre?Lolita Chakrabartis play creates imagined experiences based on the little-known; but true; story of Ira Aldridge; an African-American actor who; in the nineteenth century; built an incredible reputation on the stages of London and Europe.Red Velvet received its world premiere at the Tricycle Theatre; London; on 11 October 2012; starring Adrian Lester as Ira Aldridge. It was revived at the Tricycle Theatre on 23 January 2014; before transferring to St Anns Warehouse; New York; on 25 March 2014.This second edition includes the revisions made to the script for the 2014 revival of the play. It also features contextual articles by Lolita Chakrabarti about the real Ira Aldridge; and a piece by Professor Ayanna Thompson about the significance of Aldridges erasure from standard theatre history and the importance of the play in this regard.

This book is full of large beautiful photos that are very clear and crisp and easy to see. Each page has a big photo along with a spot that holds information about either whales or dolphins that are in the photo. When you turn the page; the next two pages are a great big photo of the type of animal that you just covered on the previous page. I gave this book a five out of five stars due to the following reasons. First though; It would have been nice that instead of the second two page photo if they would have just used that space to have another photo with more information instead of just the photo. But I still think it was nice having the extra photo to look at. The pictures are beautiful and big and it is a very nice book to look through. I would say that this book would be good for kids aged one through nine. Children to young to read will enjoy looking a the big beautiful photos and kids that are old enough to read will enjoy learning a couple bits of information about the animals. Even though I received this book for free in exchange for my opinion; this is truly my honest and unbiased opinion of the book; after reading it for myself. I would totally recommend this book for anyone looking to learn a little bit more about whales and dolphins or just likes to look at quality photos.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Lovely way to introduce whales and dolphins as seen through a Childrenrsquo;s bookBy C. ROMEROThis book ldquo;Whales and Dolphins for Kids: Oceans of the World in Colorrdquo;; is part of the series collection Childrenrsquo;s Oceanography Books; published by Speedy Publishing. This is a picture book with short references for each photograph or picture based on the idea that a child will easy remember the concept by just looking into the picture related to that concept taught. An excellent publication addressed to small children that can be used for teaching purposes and as a source to share a good lecture with your kids. As this book is about several whales and dolphins; then any small children or any other reader will get an enriching knowledge experience by reading it.Dolphins and whales all belong to a group of marine animals known as cetaceans. Cetaceans are warm-blooded; breathe air; and give birth to living offspring and nurse their young. Whales are the largest animals that have ever lived on earth and are the largest animals that live in the ocean. It contains amazing full color; high detailed; photographs/pictures about Baleen Whales and Toothed Whales with some references about their habitat and relationship with others. Including Dolphins who live in pods (schools) formed by 10 to 12 individuals female dolphins (called cows); some males (called bulls) and young dolphins (called calves). As this book has beautiful; full colored; high detailed; photographs/pictures you may want to share with your kids and/or students as they can serve as point for further discussions or a way to develop language skill by promoting the children to express themselves about what they see and understand by looking at the photograph or picture.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Informative Along With Beautiful PicturesBy R. SimmonsWe have been homeschooling our children for over 7 years now. We loosely follow what is known as the Trivium; and during first grade we focus on life science. When we study anything in history and science I want the children to read supplemental books along with their textbook and so I am always on the lookout for great books which correspond to what we are learning.I have quite a few books by this publisher. Personally I believe some have been lacking in certain areas; but this one is quite wonderful. What I truly love about the book is the format. The author gives some facts about the whales and dolphins next to a beautiful picture; then you turn the page (or swipe since this is a kindle book) and the next page is a gorgeous picture without any writing. I believe this a wonderful way for the child to remember what they have just read or what has been read to them (if dealing with younger children/beginning readers). While looking at the stunning photo the child can either think about the previous page or can discuss with the parent what he/she remembers. The book is geared for young children and I believe is perfect for a kindergartner and up to a 2nd grader. There are between 1-3 facts stated on each page and; thus; the content is not too overwhelming; but at the same times is still quite informative. I also believe toddlers and even older children (adults as well as I love it too) will appreciate and enjoy the book as the colored photos are truly stunning.I know this is being nit-picky; but there is one grammatical error I found in the book. The author uses "further" for distance instead of farther.I was given this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
