I was given the download free of charge so that I could read it and leave a review. It is spectacular. The books in the line of educational products are phenomenal. They contain beautiful pictures of the subject of the book. The download is available via the Kindle app to view on all your electronic devices. It works well on my android table. It is not compatible with my basic Kindle reader so thats something to be aware of. The publisher has listed a large number of educational books to download and view. I have fallen in love with all of them Ive downloaded so far. The pictures are so amazing. The digital version gives you an idea of what you will find in the printed version. You can view it before buying it. Thats extremely helpful. This book contains adequate explanations of the North Pole and the South Pole. It teaches all about their similarities and their differences. The animals that live in these regions are pictured in the book. The pictures are detailed and close up; giving a child a great view of the nature that exists at our polar regions.Third graders would find this book enjoyable but I believe children as young as Kindergarten would enjoy having it read to them. The pictures could be talked about as well and engaging to the younger child. Children as young as preschool age could use the book as a picture book. Its never to early to introduce a child to the love of books and learning.I hope this review has been helpful to you. Download it and start enjoying it for yourself. If you like it; you can then order the printed copy.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Really bad!!!!!!!!!!By MayaAnother badly written; edited book which thank goodness is short. How many adults know what diametricallyopposed means? This book is not well enough written to be useful for much of anything. The south pole isthe southernmost point? Duh. I showed this book to my older kids and they laughed because it was so bad. They had a contest to see who could find the most errors. This is reserved for the worst of the worst in ourhouse. My children learn to read by the time they are four years old so this was a breeze for them. The 3 year oldwas not much interested in pictures of ice and snow. The older kids have read and seen documentaries on a lotof this material so they were not impressed. If your kids are not at all familiar with these areas or geographyin general there may be something useful here for them. Some of the pictures were really nice. One that didnot make sense was one supposedly taken at the north pole where there is no land; only ice. There is a roadin a wooded area with a mail box. The last time I studied botany I dont remember any trees that grow in ice.Either they are wrong about there being no land; or wrong about where the picture was taken or something!I received this book free in exchange for my honest review.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. This is an excellent ebook for kidsBy rkreviewerThis is an excellent ebook for kids! As a teacher of elementary students; I would love to incorporate this ebook into a small group activity where I present a main idea or topic to the whole class and then they break up in small groups and discover more material on their own. My mind was continuously racing as I read through this book thinking of different projects I could make on this topic. It is the perfect age group to let them use a kindle to explore and what a better way to do so than with this ebook! I will totally let other teachers know of this opportunity and will keep this seller in mind with other ebooks available. I received this product free for reviewing purposes; however my opinions are all my own.
