Valuable addition to the New Bedford canon.By Berkshire/bobI have long studied New Bedford history; probably dating back to before Ms Medeiros was born. One of my first employers was Mark Duff of the Rotch; Jones; Duff house when 396 County St. was his home. {one of his autos had the vanity plate "396"]. This book filled in some of the details I didnt know or remember. Its an entertaining book with some fascinating facts; well written. If it has any weakness it is the lack of photos of the properties in question. All in all it is a worthwhile; very readable addition to the genre.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Peggi has done an outstanding job of researching not only the mansions but the families who built and owned them.
