I hold a degree in Anthropology and oral histories have always been among my favorites to read. Kristina has created the perfect blend of historical facts combined with Mr. SImons delightful and fascinating recollections. It made me wish I had known this legend myself. The book is a well rounded view of his life from his childhood. to college. the army. his days at Carnegie Hall and then what seems to be his greatest labor of love. developing and creating his vision for the town of Reston. Kristina has done a great service for Reston and I think Mr. SImon would be very proud and honored to see this book in print. Because of his rather expansive background history and the tales he had to tell. I think anyone would enjoy this book. regardless of whether they lived in Reston or knew Mr. SImon personally. What a great oral history.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. 5 Star LifeBy Linda RemleyI enjoyed reading this biography of the very accomplished Robert E Simon! As a former Manhattanite and a realtor of longstanding. the various elements of his Carnegie Hall involvement and his development of Reston were particularly interesting! I highly recommend this story of a contemporary Renaissance man!
