Den einzelnen Aspekten dieses Prozesses widmete sich 2015 eine vom Zentrum für Zeithistorische Forschung und dem Deutschen Historischen Museum gemeinsam ausgerichtete Ausstellung »Alltag Einheit. Portrait einer Übergangsgesellschaft". Aus ihr ist diese Sammlung von Essays hervorgegangen; die aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven und in der Verschränkung von zeitgenössischer Erfahrung und zeitgeschichtlicher Distanz auf die Geschichte der deutschen Einigung seit 1990 blicken.

Excellent Book for Newcomers to Infrared Photography!By Bob ShepherdAs someone who has decided to venture into the world of infrared photography using a digital camera. I found "Infrared Photography: Artistic Techniques for Brilliant Images" by Laurie Klein and Kyle Klein. informative. interesting. and fascinating. The book is written to a comprehensive level that almost all readers would be very comfortable with. and I gained a great deal of knowledge about the subject matter being presented. However. I believe I found minor error on page 6 and brought it to the attention of both authors via their email addresses on their websites. I received no responses! The email message I sent is provided here:Hi Kyle. Hi Laurie:I just purchased your wonderful book on infrared photography. As a limited-edition fine art photographer. Irsquo;ve always wanted to get into infrared photography as an artistic medium. For your information only. I believe I detected a small error in the very beginning of your book. Either that. or I am misinterpreting something incorrectly (which Irsquo;ve done before). On page 6 under the subheading Light in the Electromagnetic spectrum. in the last two sentences of the second paragraph. it states: "Light waves above 1200nm fall into the mid to far infrared areas of the electromagnetic spectrum. Our eyes perceive light of that wavelength as yellow. which is why lemons appear yellow to the human eye." Visible light (that part of the electromagnetic spectrum to which most photographers are accustomed) absorb all the colors except yellow (with respect to the lemon) and reflect the yellow wavelength (570nm) of light to our eyes. which you eloquently state in the first paragraph of the same subheading. But Irsquo;m a bit confused why you stated that we see the color yellow being reflected off the lemon in the infrared wavelengths (700 ndash; 1200nm). Please donrsquo;t think that I am criticizing your book. I am not! In fact. I found the subject matter in the book to be among the best of all the articles and former publications that I have ever read. Irsquo;m just genuinely curious about these two sentences (as they relate to each other) and wonder if Irsquo;m really missing something.Sincerely.Bob ShepherdRio Vista. It is very detailed. and provides all the hands-on information you need from explaining what infrared is to post- production and creating your final "works of art" There are excellent visual examples in every chapter. and you wont need another resource to get started creating your masterpieces. The authors are very down to earth. clear. concise. and thorough in their instructions. Considering that they both are successfu. professional photographers. they are extremely generous with the level of information that they share.! It takes you from getting starting to producing images that capture the viewer. I have had the pleasure to take several workshops with Ms. Klein. Her teaching style brings out the artist in each of her students. She brings that wonderful style to this book.I would highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to get into infrared photography or take their work to the next level.
