Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) has developed in Australia over the last 20 years into a technique for systematically identifying the resource flows and environmental impacts associated with the provision of products and services. Interest in LCA has accelerated alongside growing demand to assess and reduce greenhouse gas emissions across different manufacturing and service sectors. Life Cycle Assessment focuses on the reflective practice of LCA; and provides critical insight into the technique and how it can be used as a problem-solving tool. It describes the distinctive strengths and limitations of LCA; with an emphasis on practice in Australia; as well as the application of LCA in waste management; the built environment; water and agriculture. Supported by examples and case studies; each chapter investigates contemporary challenges for environmental assessment and performance improvement in these key sectors.LCA methodologies are compared to the emerging climate change mitigation policy and practice techniques; and the uptake of lsquo;quickrsquo; LCA and management tools are considered in the light of current and changing environmental agendas. The authors also debate the future prospects for LCA technique and applications.

John appeared quite happy and. actually. back to his old self. more engaged and social than almost any time in his life since his early Beatles days. He seemed more accessible to his old friends and and son during this period. The lines of communication re-opened. luckily staying open until his death. But I think it was down to May during this period the relationships were re-established. and who knows. it may have been the only way John Paul wouldve gotten back in touch.I do know its thanks to this book we have the last photos of John Paul together. enjoying each others company. relaxing. That certainly hadnt occurred beforehand. Nor had contact been made between John and (at that time) only son. Julian. Highly recommended!By Day TripperThankfully May Pang documented her life with John Lennon. Her photos are just wonderful and candid. showing how happy John was while he was with her. Anyone thats a Lennon fan needs to own this book as it covers a time in his life that most people think he was miserably drunk all of the time. which he wasnt! WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MAY PANGBy Possum-BreadAlthough I hoped "Instamatic Karma" gave us more details about the romance of John Lennon and May Pang. I was not disappointed in buying Mays new book. This hard cover book was tastefully created and contains 157 photographs in color and black and white that I had never seen before. These are not glamour shots or publicity photos. These are real. candid photos worthy of any John Lennon fans collection. The photos come with a well-written narration by May."Instamatic Karma" has plenty of photos of John and May showing there was a real relationship between the two. There are many nice photos of Julian during visits with his father. swimming. going to Disneyland. and general clowning around. Cynthia and Julian Lennon added an endnote to the book expressing thanks to May for her kindness and friendship to them. which was touching.Since there is controversy about the common misconception that the years 1973 and 1974 were nothing more than a "Lost Weekend" for John. it was very satisfying to see photographic proof not only of the relationship. but that Lennon was happy. social and artistic during those years. There are photos of John with friends like Paul and Linda McCartney. Ringo Starr. David Bowie. Keith Moon. Harry Nilsson. Jesse Ed Davis. Klaus Voormann and Mal Evans who spent time with John during this productive and commercially successful period. And there are some great photos from the recording sessions of "Walls and Bridges."I highly recommend this book for Lennon fans. Its a beautiful book at a reasonable price.
