The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is the original title of a novella written by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson that was first published in 1886. The work is commonly known today as "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"; "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"; or simply "Jekyll Hyde". It is about a London lawyer named Gabriel John Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend; Dr. Henry Jekyll; and the evil Edward Hyde. The authorRobert Louis Balfour Stevenson (13 November 1850 ndash; 3 December 1894) was a Scottish novelist; poet; essayist; and travel writer. His most famous works are "Treasure Island"; "Kidnapped"; and "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde".

His piano books are written where an intermediate pianist can play them. Most of the songs are in easy keys. He does have quite a bit of syncopation; so I find that a little hard sometimes. I have some of his other piano books; for instance "Faith". I have found the CDs with his music are just like the piano book arrangements. It helps me to listen to the CD first and then attempt to learn the piano songs. Absolutely beautiful arrangements. Have used many of his songs for church offertories; and people love them. The compliation is a good variety of his music for the advanced pianist. I find it challenging and very playable with practice.
