Jackie: The Clothes of Camelot

[ePub] Jackie: The Clothes of Camelot by Jay Mulvaney in Arts-Photography

Description

So Little Time is a revolving door of political activism; spirituality; nature; and humanity. It is a call to action; where urgency meets poetry in no uncertain terms; and asks; What hour are we in? Edited by poet; Irish and U. S. citizen; and Vermont activist; Greg Delanty; it takes its cue from the grassroots sensibility of Vermont; stripping down decades of unwavering ideals to arrive at an interpretive look at what it means to be Green in an evolving world. A work of education and art as invigorating as the poets; teachers; and activists who inspired it; So Little Time addresses what it means to take up action for something as simple as good; healthy; and clean living. It stands on a fundamental set of questions: What are we looking at? What are we seeing? Whats really there? Then asks; Whats actually there? So Little Time is more than a coffee table book; rather it is a visual platform; a reflection of a state of mind-clear and focused at the center-that becomes something else around the edges. With a Foreword from John Elder; and poems that feature the work of Greg Delanty and a range of poetry selections; along with quotes from such environmentalists; as BIll McKibben; So Little Time is an interactive and interpretive book that will inspire; enrich; and a call to action in an urgent plea to stop global warming. The book merges poetry and quotes with stunning black and white photography by such artists as Mariana Cook; the last surviving disciple of Ansel Adams.

As a teacher of elementary students; I would love to incorporate this ebook into a small group activity where I present a main idea or topic to the whole class and then they break up in small groups and discover more material on their own. My mind was continuously racing as I read through this book thinking of different projects I could make on this topic. It is the perfect age group to let them use a kindle to explore and what a better way to do so than with this ebook! I will totally let other teachers know of this opportunity and will keep this seller in mind with other ebooks available. I received this product free for reviewing purposes; however my opinions are all my own.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A wonderful addition to our little ones library!By Katie HootonWe love the Baby Professor books! Weve already read the Egyptians and the Norse Mythology ones and so we jumped at the chance to read this one. I have two daughters aged 6 years and 2 years. They LOVE to read and to learn about new things; especially other cultures and places. We like this series because they have the most beautiful pictures but also because the books are perfect for their level- they arent too wordy but have just enough information to get them to ask questions and spark some good conversations about other people and places in the world. After reading this book; my older daughter had so many questions that when we went to the library; we look for more books to learn about the Mayans. She also was able to make the connection between this book and its information and the Mayan calendars she learned about in school. A huge plus for Mom! My youngest daughter loved the pictures and I could tell she didnt feel left out by the left of the reading. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to teach their little ones about the world and its people and spark some great questions!I received this item at a discounted price in exchange for my unbiased and honesty review. Another Win For Professor BabyBy Hippie BloggerThe book ldquo;4th Grade History Book: Mayans and Incas of South Americardquo; is one of the books in a series of educational books written by Professor Baby and published by Speedy Publishing. This book; which is a part of the ldquo;Childrens Ancient History Booksrdquo; series; provides children with a chance to learn about history in a fun and exciting way. These books are filled with exceptional photographs and content geared towards capturing a 4th graders attention span. Easy and fun to read! These books are excellent for use in the classroom or at home. Excellent tool to help children not only learn about the past; but it helps to encourage them to read as well. This colorful short book provides children with a brief overview of the two most dominant and advanced civilizations in history. Beautiful; detailed; colored photos along with age appropriate descriptions and fun facts about when and where the Mayans and Incas lived; how a King was chosen; what the Maya considered to be beautiful features and the advanced government system of the Incas can all be found in this book. These books are great conversation starters for children. The beautiful pictures open up a dialogue for children to express what they see and what they understand by looking at the photographs. Finally; a good tip for parents- these books are great for bedtime! Quick and easy to read; while also providing a little education to your child.I viewed the Kindle version of this book.
