If new new to jazz and blues. her work will make you a lover . Her blues are moody and mysterious. rag time transports you to its period. Her jazz pieces are complex. changing cords that rarely repeat. fun runs. carefully placed grace notes. Each so unique.Rich full masterpieces honestly. Great series for piano learnersBy momof3This review is for Jazz. Rags. and Blues series in general. rather than this particular book in the series. My son has used many of the books in the series of Jazz. Rags. and Blues books in his piano lessons and practice time. The songs are short and interesting. a fun change from the more traditional songs in the usual piano lesson books. In particular. many of these songs are great recital songs because they show off jazz. rags. or blues abilities in fun. short songs. The kids can demonstrate their abilities but not get bogged down in longer. trickier pieces. The series does increase in difficulty as the book numbers increase.
