Each study is based on the chord changes of a well-known jazz standard. making your efforts well worth the investment of time. Be forewarned: to get the most out of these studies. one must be able to sightread well (no TAB here)! Also. the student must possess the capacity to analyze the chord structures. as the chords are not labeled. But. as a result of working on these studies. the student will gain the ability to create chord movements that flow from chord to chord; many guitarists know how to play a variety of chords. but do not know how to connect them logically in a chord progression; this book shows the student how to do just that!
