Journey to Titanic

[PDF] Journey to Titanic by Roger Bansemer at Arts-Photography

Description

Nicholas Rudall; whose acclaimed translations of Ibsen and the Greek classic playwrights have brought a fresh perspective to the American theater; turns his talents to one of the Norwegian dramatists most provocative plays. In a rebuke to the Victorian notion of community as well as to the blessings of democracy; Ibsen creates a situation in which one man must stand alone to face the forces allied against him. In a coastal town; a community-minded physician has promoted the development of public baths in order to attract tourists. When he discovers that the water supply for the baths is contaminated and attempts to publicize the failing and correct it; he and his family are all but driven out of the town he was trying to save.

Not just for history buffs... the stories in it are interesting. but seeing these in the form of art is even more special. Ive known Roger for years and have all his books. He gave me my first Hot Air Balloon ride and his first book "The Art of Hot Air Ballooning" was a Forbes pick for top 50 gifts when it came out and it facilitated an invitation for Roger to go to France with Malcolm Forbes for his birthday. Over the years Rogers connections with fans of his art have brought him many invitations to great adventures... including this opportunity to visit the Titanic wreck. something only a handful of non scientists have done. If you can get a copy of this. do. Its a side of the Titanic story you cannot find elsewhere.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. titanicBy joyfulonethis book about the titanic was fantastic! the author was invited to come along to document a trip of recovering artifacts from the vessel - he drew sketches of the crew and objects and has written an excellent treatise on the subject.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
