Jedoch wird dies allerdings gerne uuml;bersehen; wurde doch gerade das Ornament als normativ-ideologisch stark umstrittenes Gestaltungsmittel schon zu Beginn des letzten Jahrhunderts als unvereinbar erachtet mit industrieller Fertigung. Umso fremdartiger mutet sicherlich daher die Thematik bdquo;Ornamentik im Industriedesignldquo; an. Dennoch wurde weiterhin; nicht nur im Bereich des Kunsthandwerks; sondern auch in der industriellen Produktgestaltung mit Ornamenten gearbeitet; allerdings ohne; dass diese als solche bezeichnet worden wauml;ren; geschweige denn; dass sie Eingang gefunden hauml;tten in die Lehre bzw. die Theorie des Industriedesigns.Diese bislang fehlende zusammenhauml;ngende Darstellung der Funktion und des Bedeutungs-wandels des Ornamentes durch alle Epochen und dessen Interpretation findet im Rahmen die-ser Arbeit statt. Durch die Analyse unterschiedlicher Wirkungspotentiale des Ornamentes soll ein neues Bewusstsein geschaffen werden fuuml;r die Problematik des Ornamentes und versucht werden; in Zeiten zunehmender Produktuniformitauml;t das Ornament als Gestaltungsfaktor neu zu bewerten. Nach einer allgemeinen geschichtlichen Einordnung des Ornamentes; wird dies anhand zweier Beispiele aus dem Industriedesign untersucht. Betrachtet man die Literatur zur Produktgestaltung; ist feststellbar; dass dem Ornament als Gestaltungselement wenig oder gar keine Aufmerksamkeit zugesprochen wird. Das Ornament wurde in den Bereich des Kunsthandwerks verbannt; wo auch seine Urspruuml;nge liegen. Jedoch vermied der Ausschluss des Ornamentes aus der Theorie der Gestaltung nicht die Produktion von ornamentierten Produkten . Des Weiteren erscheint das Ornament als Gestaltungselement in der gesamten Entwicklungsgeschichte der Menschheit. bdquo;Das Ornament konnte offensichtlich nur zeitweise in einigen Stilperioden (wie beispielsweise im Bauhaus) gewissermaszlig;en durch eine gewaltsame Ideologie unterdruuml;ckt werden.ldquo; Die These bdquo;[...] Sachlichkeit [ist] als Ausdruck der Produktion und Ornament als Ausdruck des Marktes [...]ldquo; zu verstehen; gab den Anstoszlig; zu weiteren Uuml;berlegungen fuuml;r diese Arbeit:* Existiert ein elementares Beduuml;rfnis nach Ornamenten?* Was ist aus heutiger Sicht alles unter dem Begriff Ornament zu verstehen?* Worauf basiert die formale Erscheinung des Ornaments? Some stories I knew from old articles and others were new to me.The overwhelming feeling of sadness comes from knowing the turmoil surrounding Heart now. and the feeling of loss...Will Heart ever be a band again?Worth every penny. however. Good Read for Ann and Nancy Wilson FansBy MikeThe book is a first-person narrative of Ann and Nancys life stories. They start with their childhood and take turns recalling home life. Mom and Dad. Anns childhood struggles with her weight. and the night they saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. an event that changed their lives. There is Anns first guitar. the young sisters performing for their teenage friends (Nancy wasnt even twelve). and so on. The book continues in like fashion through more than forty years. all the way to present (2012 is the latest date in the book. I think).If anyone is hoping for titillating Women of Rock debauchery. forget it. It isnt here. The Wilson sisters tell their stories they way anyone would. They recall people and events. and they reflect on how forces sometimes co-mingled and nudged their lives this way and that. They recall decisions they made and the outcomes of those decisions. They recall good times and not so good times. And. they reflect on the way things turned out.I came away from the book thinking of them more as people with a home life who just also happen to perform in a band. So much so. that I was sometimes surprised when some other Rock icon would pop in at one of their homes. which reminded me that these ladies are Rock Royalty!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I have loved their music for many years and Im curious about their private lives which there wasnt a lot of in the book. As a private person I respect the fact that they dont put all of their intimate life details out there .however. as a dedicated fan for many years I would have liked to have heard more about their personal lives. Enjoyed the book and recommended to all Heart fans.
