King of Prussia (Images of America)

[ebooks] King of Prussia (Images of America) by J. Michael Morrison at Arts-Photography

Description

More lemons once were shipped from Corona than anywhere on Earth; as a dozen citrus packing houses were located along the railroad tracks in this rural Riverside County enclave known for its circular boulevard and hard-working inhabitants. The postcards collected for this trip down Coronas memory lane reflect its six decades of citrus-industry dominance and portray the past in street scenes; commerce; ranches; schools; churches; homes; and the outlying resorts of Glen Ivy and the Norconian Club. The Corona Road Races-spectacular national affairs in 1913; 1914; and 1916-are also depicted.

Joos Jr.What a great book. Its full of pictures of areas in King Of Prussia that will boggle your mind. To see what used to be and compare it to what it is now in the township is wild. Though I thought a place or two was left out. Mr. Morrison did a great job with the book. A must have if you enjoy local history.
