Superbly researchedBy George PytlikAs a ballroom dancer and teacher; Im always looking for more information about the origins of the various dances that make up partner dancing. Mark Knowles has done an incredible job researching the controversies and cultural shifts that evolved some of these dances to where they gained cultural maturity a half century ago. The depth of research surprised me; and the quality of writing with which Knowles presents his findings surprised me even more.
