A dark and twisted coming-of-age story by the Bruntwood Prize-winning author of Yen. Hendrix is growing up. Or at least hes trying to. But hes sick of his mother and her constant preaching on the virtues of an organic lifestyle. And hes sick of her girlfriend; a twentysomething stunner who winds him up relentlessly. But most of all he is sick of the bullies at school who target him viciously; thinking if his mum is gay then he must be too. In a desperate attempt to prove his masculinity; Hendrix enters a very adult world and gets far more than he bargained for. He meets Luminita - a young girl enslaved into an unbearable life. She finds comfort in Hendrix; a chance to connect; to be seen as a human being. Though from completely different worlds; their secret friendship grows in snatched moments in a sordid room above a Chicken Shop.

I enjoyed learning about all the characters and all the trivia associated with each episode. I am a huge Gleek; I went back and re watched season one after reading this book and loved the show more because of the information I learned in the book. At the end they had questions for future seasons; I wish there was a follow up to answer the questions and more information about the characters in the next seasons.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. cool book for the fans; nothing specialBy Jessif you loved the first season of Glee and miss THAT show this is a great book to get; oterwhise look for something else.
